I think there is a misconception when it comes to summer shoes. People think that their only options are different variations of sandals or flats. But in reality, you don’t have to hide your boots away and save them only for winter. There are a lot of boots that can translate into summer pieces. Boots also add a touch of cool and edginess to your outfit. Maybe it’s because I was born and raised in Texas, but I just love wearing boots. They’re also a little more comfortable for my flat feet because the shoe is more stable.

This Fashionista’s boots instantly caught my eye. The neutral color and jeweled embellishments complement the pale pink color of her blouse. I love how she paired her girly blouse with these boots because they make her outfit more interesting. These boots by Sam Edelman are the perfect shade of brown and have a harness, which is usually seen on biker boots. I would wear these with a rolled up flannel shirt and cut-off shorts for a movie date.

The cut out trend is great for summer because of the hot temperatures. These ankle boots by Jeffrey Campbell feature cut out detailing on the side and buckles. If you were hesitant about having your feet covered up on hot days, then these boots are perfect because they allow your feet to breathe. These black ankle boots from PacSun feature a western embroidered design on the front and side. These would look great with faded high-waisted shorts and your favorite heavy metal T-shirt.
