As the weekend comes closer, the only thing you have scheduled is hanging out with friends. And you have to look in your wardrobe for a look that spells Fashionista. Gone are the days when an outing with friends required you to invest in expensive pieces. The purpose of dressing these days (besides looking your best self) is to stand out from the rest. This week’s Fashionista wears a few statement pieces that really make her outfit unique.
You don’t always have to wear contrasting colors and there is no question as to why I was so allured by this Fashionista’s blue ensemble. I love how she experimented with a cool color palette and the interesting shape of her pastel gray studded Alexander McQueen ballerina flats. Just like your favorite ice cream flavor, your outfit can say a lot about you. As Fashionistas/os , this is important to remember but easy to forget, especially when it comes to everyday activities such as grabbing a sundae to-go.
Blending in colors is a simple way to reflect your personality through your closet. This Fashionista has blended in the cerulean blue and the electric cyan with a delicate studded necklace. Her casual tank top from Michael Kors and palazzo trousers with two front pockets and a concealed zipper from Mango are a smart choice because they are dressy, yet comfortable! This ensemble also gives her a long and slim silhouette.
This Fashionista’s mint green envelope bag and Ray-Ban aviators exude effortless elegance. And if I might add, this sling bag is very functional for a busy schedule. Another interesting element of her look is her one-line stud necklace and nude colored lip gloss. And when you are short on time, the high chignon is a perfect quick hair-do.
Going on for solid monotones and picking the right hues makes a huge difference. Another great way to deck up a monotone look is to put on a pair of espadrilles or a scarf and fuse it with the combination of pretty, classy, chunky and bling. A watch, bracelets and a collection of other accessories can add a zing to your personality and look of the day.
