With so many fantastic accessories out there it can be hard to choose only a few to wear, but finding the right balance is a must. Adding just one too many pieces can make your outfit look clunky, but this week’s Fashionista pulled off a great balancing act.
At first glance this Fashionista’s ensemble seemed simple enough, but after closer inspection I found she was an accessory treasure trove. My favorite accessory was her silver arm cuff. It’s unique, eye-catching and a simple way to spice up any outfit. I loved how she continued the stripe pattern in her dress with a bright red headband and turquoise belt. Belts can be a great addition to even the busiest of dresses because they give them more shape and accent your waist. Accessories don’t always have to be big and bold to make a statement, especially when they represent something about you; this Fashonista’s sword earrings symbolize the fact she’s a fencer.
Adding a pair of pastel floral sneakers made this Fashionista’s outfit perfectly sugar sweet. Just remember, there’s an art to mixing patterns. You don’t want the Fashion Police putting you in a different kind of cuffs! One pattern needs to be the obvious focus: if one is big and bright, choose a soft, simple pattern to compliment it.
