Oh, the middle of March. What a crazy time. For many of you that means spring break is around the corner. You’re probably either packing your dark jeans at school to swap for your shorts at home or studying for midterms (eek!). However, despite this stressful time, it is the perfect time to give your dark colors one last good run before you bid farewell to them for the bright spring colors and temperatures that await you after spring break.
I spotted this Fashionista on her way to a midterm calm, cool and collected. In order to be simple yet chic she starts with a neutral outfit of a basic tee, dark wash AG jeans and a comfy 360 sweater. However, her addition of a 1 Per Diem clutch and Fiorienti and Baker motorcycle boots, both in rich shades of black, gave her a cool, tough look. In addition, it is giving her the chance to give her winter accessories one last hurrah before she swaps for a brighter bag and cute flats.
Saying goodbye to winter fashion is hard at first, but there are ways to make the breakup easier. Motorcycle boots are great with a neutral cardigan to make any outfit seem tougher. Dark colored scarves are great accessories when there is still a bit of chill in the air. Dark bags add sophistication to a rather bright outfit. Finally, a classic fall jacket is perfect for that in between time where you’re still attached to that coat. All this talking is getting me excited for spring break — Miami here I come!
