The weather has taken another weird turn again here in Richmond, Virginia. April was supposed to bring us even more warm weather filled with skirts and summer dresses, but Fashionistas/os are finding themselves all layered up again. The same can be said about this week’s Fashionista who was sporting a maxi dress with a very popular spring and fall trend: the fringe vest.
Fringe is definitely a trend that will be seen more throughout the season. It is literally everywhere! From bags to necklaces and even swimsuits as well; fringe is a great way to add flare to your ensemble without going over the top. The best way to wear fringe would be through adding accessories with a simple outfit. For example, try pairing skinny jeans with a bold colored top and then add a cute leather jacket. The best way to incorporate fringe with this look would be a bag.
However, the most important thing to remember is not to go overboard and only one item should be fringe. But do not forget to experiment and play up your personal style, and most importantly, have fun with this trend.
Spotted: Pringle of Scotland’s spring 2011 read-to-wear went crazy with the fringe trend! All models wore strappy fringe sandals, but designer Clare Waight Keller did not stop there. There were fringe tops and jackets as well that were looking chic yet playful showing off two great ways to wear the fringe trend.
