ACCESSORIES REPORT: Get Wild With Your Fall Wardrobe

There could not be a better way to start off a semester as a Style Guru than with Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. For the first time this year, you can follow a live stream of over 30 shows down the runway. After practically just tearing myself away from following every second of updates in New York and Paris to write this post, I am now overly excited to write about fashion! Throughout the next semester, I will be your personal expert in our newest fall column: accessories report. I am and have always been a scarves, shoes, jewelry, and handbag girl, so you can imagine my excitement.

Though the weather may not show it, sights of the fall season ahead are emerging all around us.  Boots, pumpkin spice lattes, sweaters, and scarves are back!  A new interest has been sparked in my own wardrobe, and is looking out to be a must have trend in each girl’s closet for the upcoming season as well. Animal prints, of all kinds, especially leopard print. As hesitant as I may have been in the past about this look, I love the way that utilizing them as an accessory can add some funky flair to an outfit.  I spotted this fashionista’s shoe’s last weekend, immediately fell in love, and knew I had to photograph her for this week’s accessories report.

Paired with a pumpkin colored blouse and jeans, these shoes add so much life to her outfit. “I’m a regular customer at Steve Madden, and knew hands down that I was buying these when I first saw them,” said this Fashionista. The modern looking wedge is an added bonus to these adorable shoes with the comfort that it brings.
I’ve seen animal print showcased in a variety of the stores that regurarly shop at such as Nordstrom and Urban Outfitters. In an email I received from Urban last week, they featured an entire section on their website honoring animal prints. In Nordstrom’s shoe department, they are promoting animal print as the first option on the drop down menu choosing a “style.”
If not in your shoes, try adding some animal print into your wardrobe with the simplest item as a skinny belt  or by stepping out of the box with some printed tights.

Whether animal print is a new look for you or not, make sure to get creative in this upcoming season trying to add even a little bit of the wild into your usual wardrobe. And be sure to check in next week after the fashion week mayhem has commenced, and my brain is overflowing with new and improved fashion ideas.
