Sometimes when you spot a Fashionista it’s hard to choose just one thing to write about. I was drawn to each piece of this Fashionista’s clothing when I spotted her on the street. First of all, her Marc Jacobs cross-body bag with a dove clasp makes me drool just at the sight of it. Secondly, her dark washed jeans cuffed with her lace-up moto boots create a great contrast which breaks up her body in a flattering way. She pairs a cream colored, textured crop top with a tribal printed cardigan. The printed shrug isn’t too loud, which draws attention to the garment but it isn’t quite the center of attention. After taking all of her outfit in, I came to the conclusion that her necklace was key to the success of the outfit. The long, bright red stone necklace that this Fashionista is wearing is the perfect amount of eye-popping color.
Who ever thought that wearing rocks and minerals you studied in Earth Science and Geology class would be fashion-forward? Well, ladies and gentlemen, the trend has surfaced and stones are very much in.
There are dozens of different minerals cut in different shapes which you can find at Urban Outfitters: I particularly like this one. It would look great paired with jeans and a long turtleneck sweater, adding the right amount of sparkle to your outfit. For an edgy bracelet, check out this Free People clasp bracelet and wear it with a bodycon skirt and neutral colored blouse; that way the bracelet will be catching all of the attention! Another suggestion for maximum style is to craft your own necklace, bracelet or ring and incorporate all of your personal style into the design! Take a look at this blog for tons of D.I.Y. ideas.
