Well my fellow Fashionistas, I think the time has finally come where we have to say goodbye to summer. Being a self-proclaimed beach bum, this transition is never easy, but at least this fall’s super fun fashion is something to look forward to. With the final heat wave that we experienced in Poughkeepsie, I think that autumn is going to take us by storm these next few weeks. Get ready Marist College Fashionistas!
When I discovered this Fashionista, I was impressed with how she combined one trend into two seasons. By mixing a super hip pheasant top with bohemian gladiator sandals, she successfully interpreted summer’s mega trend of 1970s inspired fashion. This outfit is definitely foreshadowing how this trend is going to make its mark this fall as well.
I also loved how this Fashionista’s funky sandals transformed the more simple tones of her outfit. When looking closer, I noticed how fabulous the intricate beading and embellishments were. Due to the crazy detailing, I automatically assumed that they came from a very expensive store. Contrary to my belief, they were around twenty dollars from Urbanog. I had never actually heard of this website, but it is simply amazing and incredibly affordable. It is definitely going to be my new obsession! Another great pair of gladiators can be found at Steve Madden, my usual go-to for sandals.
Even though summer is basically over, this is the perfect time to take advantage of the great sales that stores will be having on sandals. It is never too late to stock up on shoes for next season while saving money!
