As fall colors are making their way back into our wardrobes and the sun is shining less and less we are becoming more prone to throw on our favorite cozy sweater and jeans and head to class. Just because it’s getting colder and we’d rather not get out of bed in the morning, doesn’t mean that we can’t add some spice into our outfits!
This Fashionista has added one of my all time favorites — turquoise. She sports a rather simple yet fashion-forward look: a royal blue sheer blouse and dark washed jeans. Paired with a brown messenger bag for her books and knee high boots, this Fashionista knows what she’s doing. The icing on the cake is the turquouise tear drop beads on her necklace. If you like the look, check out this similar necklace from Francesca's Collection.
Style reports have noted that turquoise is becoming a versatile color for all seasons. It’s a flattering hue for anyone who dares to wear it and can be worn with many different color combinations.
So Fashionistas, I urge you to take out your brown cable knit sweater, your dark wash jeans and your high leather boots for those crisp autumn days and pair it with some turquoise jewelry. If you aren’t feeling so daring, try a pop of color on your wrist with this Free People leather bracelet. Turquoise doesn’t just have to be worn during the day but can easily transform your night outfit. Pick out a plain black pant and top combination, fasten this Kate Spade necklace around your neck and tie the outfit all together with these Jessica Simpson heels and you’ve concocted an outfit that will make heads turn all night.
Spotted: Shades of turquoise in Luca Luca's spring 2012 Ready To Wear.
