While your favorite hippie-style sundress may be ready for storage as the weather cools off and Fall approaches, your hair is something you don’t have to change from season to season. The braid is such a classic look that can be done in so many ways and worn all year around. Braids are the perfect way to tie together any look from chic and sophisticated to cool and grungy. The bright orange hue of this Fashionista’s tea-length skirt is what first caught my eye, but as my gaze settled on the entire ensemble I was more than impressed with her look, from head to toe. All girls looking for the perfect summer to fall transition outfit take note. This Fashionista chose a cotton skirt in a warm hue – an ideal piece for brisk September days – and paired it with a graphic shirt and purse in the same color scheme. She added a few casual accessories to the mix with leather booties and a belt to create an overall polished look. But while some would stop there to marvel over this fabulous outfit this Fashionista sealed the deal by throwing a few random waves into her (still damp) hair and pulling some pieces around her face into braids. While the outfit is undeniably cool, this Fashionista’s hair-do was literally and figuratively like a cherry and whipped cream on the top of your favorite sundae. There is just something about a head-to-toe “Yes, I nailed it,” look that sends me running through the streets jumping for joy!
In Charlotte Ronson’s fall 2011 runway show for New York Fashion Week the models sported random braids in their hair as they rocked the designer’s urban chic looks that included leather, knits, and ripped tights.
