ALL ABOUT BEAUTY: Damage-Free Curls

I'm now a senior in college, and staring at my stick-straight hair in the mirror often makes me long for the soft waves that came naturally to me in high school. Luckily, my hair still holds a curl when I put in the manual labor with a curling iron. However, not everyone is so lucky, and using a flat iron on your hair every day can do real damage to your locks!

When I came across this Fashionista I was instantly jealous of her entire look from head to toe. The girly dress matched with a professional blazer would have been enough for me, but with her funky Converse sneakers thrown in, it was the perfect look for this Fashionista, who was on lunch break from her job at a local restaurant. To top it off, her makeup was flawless with wispy eyeliner and perfect plum lips. And that hair — as a brunette I have never been so envious of another Fashionista’s blonde locks!

The best part is that her curls weren’t achieved using a hot styling tool but in fact, socks. That’s right: to get the loose curls that gently blew in the breeze, this Fashionista simply blow-dried her roots and put the rest of her damp hair into two sock buns. Letting her hair dry in the sock buns as she finished getting ready left this Fashionista with a full head of effortless curls. She assured me the technique was super easy and even kept her stick-straight hair curly through her lunch break! What more could a girl ask for?
