The summer brings hot days and long nights. We don’t want to spend all of our time fussing with our beauty routine or making sure our make-up is still in place. This is why I always try to keep it simple when it comes to beauty in the summer.
Wearing minimal makeup, this Fashionista does the summer look right. Foundation is always her base and first step to her beauty routine. ALMAY is the foundation that she swears by and can’t live without. After the base layer goes on, she adds a little bit of sparkly eye shadow and some Bobbi Brown mascara. To top it all off, a swipe of lip gloss finishes the look. I always end my beauty routine with some Buxom lip gloss to add a little pout to my lips. This is a great natural look for the summer and doesn’t take too much time or fussing. When all of her makeup is done, she blowdries her hair and pins back her bangs to keep them away from her face
Not only does this Fashionista have the perfect summer beauty routine down, but she is also rockin’ the summer stripes with gold sandals. This outfit is summer perfection and can be worn during the day or even a night out on the town.
With all this funky weather going around I have no clue what to do with my hair. One day it's cool, the other day it will be raining or snowing. Personally, I really dislike ponytails on myself, so I usually wear my hair straight. I can never get ponytails smooth enough and they make my head look huge! Many times I opt out of the ponytail for a messy bun. Although the bun is still cute, it is not as quick and simple as I’d like it to be.
This Fashionista pulled off the classic ponytail effortlessly. It’s not the Kim Kardashian or runway pony tail, but it’s perfect for us Fashionista's. This Fashionista is wearing a purple trench (a cute untraditional color for winter). She then paired her outerwear with a satin black and white shirt, dark skinny jeans and trendy black combat boots. Her ponytail looks great and went perfectly with her trendy yet casual ensemble.
Getting the perfect ponytail is sometimes hard, but with the right tools you can achieve this look flawlessly. Make sure to use a black scrunchie that has some type of cloth around it. Using a regular rubber band is very bad for your hair as it can cause breakage; none of us CollegeFashionista’s want that! Also, my favorite product for flyaway’s is Olive Oil Edge Control. I swear I live by this! Regardless of what hairstyle I am sporting, it’s perfect. Also, this product will last forever, giving us more bang for our buck. Let me know if you try this product and love it just as much as I do.
