While I often reference some of my favorite beauty products in my posts, I thought as a New Years treat I would offer you all a little peek into my makeup bag and medicine cabinet. These are just a few of my absolute favorite products that I think any Fashionista should have.
Makeup:
Tarte LipSurgence: Seriously these are the best lip stains. They don't dry out your lips like many stains I have experimented with. Plus they are long lasting and come in gorgeous colors. I literally own eight different ones.
Nars Powder Foundation: This powder foundation gives you full coverage like a foundation with a powder, matte finish. I like it because it's impossible to look cakey with this foundation.
Urban Decay Naked Palette: Love can not adequately express how much I adore this makeup palette. No matter if I am heading out to class, brunch with friends, or a Saturday night out with the girls, I swear I can do my eyemakeup using this single palette. It has the best combination and range of earthy tones I have ever come across.
Skin:
Avalon Organics Vitamin C Serum: I am a big believer in proactiving fighting off the signs of aging. I use Vitamin C Serum every morning after I wash my face to fight off free radicals in the air and promote skin cell rejuvination. What does that mean in plain language? My skin looks glowing and no wrinkles in sight just yet!
Clarisonic Skin Care Brush: After a long day, I feel like my skin needs to breath. The Clarisonic is definitely an investment, but well worth it. It scrubs off all the makeup and bacteria clogging my pores so that my facewash can be absorbed better.
Kate Sommerville ExfoliKate: After a stress week, I often feel like I could use a good facial. But on the student schedule and budget, that is just not a possibility. ExfoliKate is like an at-home facial in a minute. No joke. My skin feels so rejuvinated I feel like I just spent an hour at a spa.
Hair:
Oscar Blondi Pronto Invisible Volumizing Dry Shampoo: I always try to stretch the length of my blowdries and wash my hair every other day. This dry shampoo is perfect for those inbetween days as it absorbs the oil and gives new life to a day old do. Plus, it is clear so you don't have to worry about that chalky white shadow in your hair.
Living Proof Straight Making Styling Spray: I use this spray on my hair before blowdrying everyday. It protects against the heat of styling products. So no matter if I am using a straightner or curling iron, the product is activated with the heat of the styling tools. The result? Long lasting style with no frizz.
