Denim Days

Regardless of what your grandparents might think, the holes in your jeans are intentional. No matter what season it is, a pair of jeans will always be a wardrobe staple. Specifically for this summer, ripped jeans are among the top trends. Whether it is going to the mall with your friends or going to a concert at night, this versatile piece is easy to wear.

Ripped jeans can be completely destroyed or just have a few tiny holes along the leg, the choice is completely up to you. For this look, this Fashionista wore a pair of jeans that only have holes in the knees. For the summertime, I think this look is going to be very popular because the knee rips are edgy while also casual enough to wear to hang out with your friends. Since the color of the jeans is a lighter wash, it is perfect to wear when the weather gets warmer! For this casual look, she decided to layer a basic white tank top with a black bralette underneath. Bralettes are still a huge trend we’ll see this summer since they can be added to any outfit as a minimal detail. Since it is summer, a simple two-strap black sandal was added to this outfit. Wearing a sandal opposed to a flip-flop will give your foot more support and look chicer.

To top off this outfit, we decided to add in some layered necklaces. Instead of adding necklaces, you could add in any accessory to complete this outfit depending on the occasion it is worn for. No matter how distressed the pair of jeans you choose is, adding in accessories will always help to complete an outfit and make it look more polished.

White is the New Black

Goodbye winter, hello summer! Now that the temperature is finally rising, it’s time to replace the dark clothing with bright colors. Bundling up in warm clothes is no longer needed, which means it’s officially time to start wearing dresses again. This summer, white is going to be a very popular color. Many are beginning to wear it during the summer months, and this summer, I will definitely be joining in on the bold fashion statement by wearing all-white.

Whether you’re home for the summer spending time with friends or working at your seasonal job, being comfortable in this heat is always a priority when picking out your outfit for the day. Personally, I like the wear dresses in the summer to keep me cool and always looking effortlessly chic. In this outfit pictured above, I am wearing a BCBG Generation lace-up cloth dress. This dress also has pockets, which is an added bonus to how cute it is. (Who doesn’t love a dress with pockets?) I complemented my dress with some lace-up leather sandals I got in Santorini, Greece a few weeks ago. The lace-up sandal trend is still going to be very noticeable this summer, and they’re a really great statement piece. Along with the dress and shoes, I accessorized with my Quay Australia cat eye sunglasses and various rings and bracelets I purchased in Israel last summer for a pop of color against the neutral dress and shoes.

Since this outfit is so simple, using a bright lipstick is a fast, easy way to add color into the outfit. Since it’s constantly hot in the summer, I like to leave my hair curly because it takes so long to straighten. For this look, I braided pieces of my hair and tied it back to create a simple but cute hairstyle.
