Style Guru Bio: Francesca Fuerman

“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.”
– Coco Chanel

Hey Fashionistas! I’m Francesca Fuerman and I’m going to be a junior at Indiana University. I’m majoring in Fashion Design and Merchandising, with dreams of living in New York and being either a designer or working for a fashion magazine. I love fashion because it's all about creativity. People say that clothes are art that you wear, and I believe that to be true. Whether you are playing with color, putting together an outfit, or finding that unique vintage piece, you are expressing your mood and individual style.

My style has always been girly and romantic, due to my obsession with the color pink. I also love details such as white eyelet, lace, beading, and sequins. I own a lot of floral print dresses. My favorite things are floaty sundresses, gladiator sandals, sparkly clutches, cheetah print (in small doses), glitter, and dangly earrings. My favorite designers are Betsey Johnson, Ralph Lauren, Versace, and, of course, Chanel! I’ve been sewing since 4th grade, so if I can’t find something in stores, I will just make it (such as the dress I'm wearing above in this picture). I’m looking forward to being a Style Guru again so I can see fashion fresh off the street, and help inspire you all to make bold choices and enjoy getting dressed.
