CollegeFashionista X Ann Taylor Advertorial: Day to Night-Fordham University

It can often be difficult to achieve versatility within a college student wardrobe. I continually find myself searching for pieces that will endure the professional settings of the future without sacrificing the character of my style in the present. It’s tempting to split your wardrobe between corporate and college, but Ann Taylor’s versatile collection allows me to maximize my wardrobe no matter what the occasion.

The Stripe Ponte Straight Skirt was the item I choose to transition from the classroom to going out with the girls. This skirt is not only comfortable, but also classroom-friendly. Combining curve-hugging cotton with neon coral trim, this skirt is a statement making must-have.

To turn this skirt into a look that’s complete for class, I paired it with a seasonal favorite, a cropped Crewneck Sweater. This chic staple piece will be the ultimate item in my closet come spring. To brighten up the nautical palette, I wore a Solid Scarf in Salsa Picante and coordinating Stretch Flats.

We've all been having a snakeskin fashion moment and I was thrilled to pair my look with Ann Taylor's Exotic Skinny Belt. To add some last minute character, I finished my ensemble with a Pave Wood Pendant Necklace and Leather Strap Tote that fits everything from books to basics.

Nudging this skirt into nightlife mode was as quick and easy as clicking your heels (literally). The brights and stripes of this Ponte Straight Skirt are edgy enough to make an evening ensemble an effortless task. To play up the neon hem of the skirt, I slipped into the the Kallie Exotic Cutout Heels (which I am obsessed with) and threw on a coordinating wide belt. Because there’s nothing worse than feeling under or overdressed, I try to strike a balance that’s apartment and party appropriate. So to keep the focus on these edgy accessories, I chose a simple and silky Cowl Neck Top and Cropped Trench (from the super versatile Two–Piece Trench).

To add some evening allure, I threw on the chunky Artisan Necklace and Artisan Bracelet along with the spunky Sculptural Cuff. After throwing my essentials into the to-die-for Large Neon Wristlet, my previously scholastic ensemble is definitely ready for sundown.
