CollegeFashionista X ASOS: Boston University

I think there is secretly a little fabulous Audrey Hepburn in all of us. We like dressing up, even in the foulest of weather or the hottest of days. It's important to know that you should always look your best, no matter what. I used to always think that those girls coming to class with wedges, designer bags and chiffon blouses were out of their minds – why would you look that fabulous if you're just going to sit in a chair all day? Well, the older I get, the more I realize that putting together a good outfit every day isn't only fun, it's good for the soul. Seriously.

This high-low dress is perfect for a fall stroll down Boston University's campus. It's a light transition piece that can be paired together with a great pair of heels for a night out or can be dressed down for coffee with a professor. I see more and more girls wearing flowy dresses with Converse low-tops and Keds. What a great idea! Wearing sneakers definitely doesn't take away from the fabulosity of your outfit. I also chose a cropped knit sweater, which is also very light but very comfortable and appropriate for fall weather. The transition from summer to fall in Boston can be a chilly experience so I decided to go for the endless knit scarf to warm me up. I've always wanted one of these because it can be worn in so many different ways. I think it'd be great to wear on a snowy winter day in my city! I picked round sunglasses (which are very Jackie O) and put my hair up in a high bun because they gave my outfit an element of well put together classiness. Since I am not much of a girl for heels on a daily basis, I thought this pair of ballet flats would be the perfect addition to my outfit to complete my back-to-school themed look. As for accessories, ASOS's front lock bag is reminiscent of the Hermès Birkin bag we all want. Naturally, I couldn't help myself when I saw this one. It has a crossbody strap which is perfect because I can stick my notebooks, laptop and camera in it and carry everything around comfortably. I chose to add these awesome mustache rings and the spectacle necklace to my outfit to make it a little more playful.

What I love about ASOS is that their clothing doesn't only focus on one kind of fashion. They provide Fashionistas with looks that are preppy, grungy and everything in between. You don't just have to choose one way to look and stick to it for eternity; you gotta spice it up! And that's exactly what I did. During this back to school season, wear something new, something you've always wanted to try. You'll be surprised at how perfectly you pull it off.
