I have been lucky enough to spend the past week in Spain for my spring break. Let’s just say it has been more than amazing and the fashions are vastly different between Spain and France. The sun often shines in Seville and bright colors are encouraged to be incorporated into anyone’s outfits. Women wear dresses and skirts while men sport a more laid back style with their linen shirts and khaki pants.
One of the biggest events in Seville and Barcelona is dinner. Served around 9 or ten o’clock, one must attend tapas restaurants or outdoor terraces dressed in style. After the dinner you can choose from a variety of different activities including flamenco shows or live music. With such a range of activities it is important for Fashionistas to have a statement dress hanging in their closets for such occasions.
This Fashionista has executed this style perfectly with a turquoise high-low dress. The dress is flowy and carefree making it be quite easy for her to transition from day to night. If the color weren’t enough, the cut out color adds an edge to the dress that makes it unlike many other of its style. She kept her hair and makeup simple adding personal touches like a coral lip color and matching sandals.
If you’re looking for a similar outfit take a look at this ASOS skirt and pair it with a plain bright top. If you want something a little more conservative, but with a bit of flair check out this Free People cut out dress and wear a bold blazer over it. An even more daring choice would be to try out this Urban Outfitters printed dress and to find a cute sweater to put over it for dinner. Every Fashionista should have that one special dress to pack in their suitcase for a fun night out on the town in a new place!
