FASHION FROM ABROAD: From Paris to New York

This week’s Fashionista was found at les Tuileries right near the Louvre, and with her simple brown palette she caught my eye. This Fashionista wears two colors: brown and black. But, with a few key accessories and a menswear-inspired twist, she turns her outfit into something more interesting.

These two colors were also seen throughout the Paul Smith and Mulberry fall 2011 Ready To Wear shows in New York City. Her small structured bag in chocolate brown is reminiscent of the Mulberry shape and her knitted socks and lace up boots are already on trend for next fall. Her camel colored coat which is shaped like a cape could fit right in with the rest of the Paul Smith collection. It’s versatile enough to be worn with layers during the colder, rainy days, as she does here, as well as over a full length skirt or dress during the fall with a pair of oxfords or the same boots she has on. La Garconne is a great online store for styles similar to Paul Smith. To get the look perfect for fashion week you could always trade the satchel for a little Scottish terrier with a matching coat from Mulberry.
