I’m excited to share my first post from Paris! I have been here for almost a week now and am slowly becoming accustomed to the cultural faux-pas. So far the weather has been spectacular and the winters are much milder than in Boston. I have noticed that this allows Parisian Fashionistas and Fashionistos to comfortably dress in lighter layers while still looking ultra chic.
I stopped one of my fellow classmates because she has already effortlessly adopted some of this Parisian charm. Naturally, I couldn't help photographing her across the street from the Tour d’Eiffel.
Sporting black high-waisted jeans, Tory Burch jelly flats and a neutral multi knit cowl neck sweater allows for ease and comfort while adapting to a metropolitan lifestyle. Her coat is also a great piece to take give attention. Having a coat that is versatile when you’re traveling is ideal for packing as well as being prepared for different types of weather. The quilted pattern and silver buttons give the coat a bit more personality which overall makes the outfit a bit more noteworthy.
If you are looking for a similar look, try a pair of black skinnies (one of the most versatile pairs of pants I own) and a multi-colored cowl neck sweater. And to top it all off invest in a Barbour quilted jacket. If there is one particular trend I have noticed here thus far it is that Parisians love to layer.
Adopt the lifestyle and live like a Parisian for the day! A bientot!
