Fashion Week ended in Paris and the most exciting time of the year can be very rewarding if you know where to go, even without a ticket. Les Tuileries hosted some prominent shows the past couple of days including Vivienne Westwood, Lanvin and Sonia Rykiel, and outside all the shows photographers, editors, models, and just ordinary people gather around the venue to see and to be seen.
This Fashionista stood out among the crowd in her long, flowing skirt (a big trend seen at most of the shows) with brightly colored thick stripes. Along with a black shirt and a studded belt, she topped it off with some unexpected: a leather sleeved blue tweed jacket. Unusual but very cool. If you recall, Prada showed stripes for its spring 2011 collection in hot pink, bright blue and neon orange, and you’ll be sure to see this trend come spring (in fact it’s already in stores like Zara). Maxi skirts like the one this Fashionista is wearing can also be found in many stores already including COS and Shopbop.
Remember that vertical stripes will make your legs seem longer, especially if you’re wearing heels. Try to add a pop of color into your outfit and you’ll kill two birds with one stone!
