FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Elisabeth Chung

Sometimes it’s easy to fall into the realm of simplicity when it comes to dressing, and often times people are just simply dressed a bit too basic. However, it is possible to be clad in all different types of rather simple pieces and still look like a Fashionista. Although this Fashionista wears fairly plain items, worn as a whole they work together to make her entire outfit far from boring — and the key is to correctly mix simple with something even more simple.

Name: Elisabeth Chung

CollegeFashionista: What are your four go-to stores where you know you can always find what you are looking for?

Elisabeth Chung: ASOS, Tobi, NASTY GAL and Topshop

CF: Do you look at any blogs for daily inspiration for your outfits?

EC: Yes, I usually always check “Cupcakes and Cashmere,” Wendy’s Lookbook and I watch this YouTube channel called “From Head to Toe” which has some really good beauty tips.

CF: Who would you say are your style icons right now?

EC: Jessica Alba, Natalie Portman and Jessica Biel. I love their sporty appeal so I love the way they dress.

CF: What will item can you not leave behind every morning?

EC: Eyeliner! I usually opt for Rimmel, and I love Makeup Forever and Bobbi Brown too.

How To: If you are unsure how to rock simple by layering on even more simple items, follow in this Fashionista’s foot steps. Start off with a basic tee and or bottom and work your way up or down. You can sport a plain white high necked tank top and pair it with the perfect boyfriend jeans for a very simple yet chic look. Then to finish off the look you can wear a pair of patterned espadrilles like this Fashionista or a pair of distressed Golden Goose tennis shoes a la Leandra Medine.
