It’s finally October and, despite the chill, Fashionistas are still holding onto their favorite summer pieces. A great way to transition into fall is by incorporating your favorite summer dresses with layers and sweaters. This week it was fun to look around for Fashionistas in the spirit of fashion week. As we’ve seen fashion evolve this past month, I’m beginning to realize how much power and influence street style has. The crowds at New York and Paris fashion weeks were definitely attracted to the beautiful shows at center stage, but they have also become their own stars in their own right.
Name: Gaby Groh
Major: International Studies and Spanish
Year: Sophomore
CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing and where is it from?
Gaby Groh: I’m wearing a skirt from Urban Outfitters that I’ve had forever and absolutely love. My shirt is actually a friend’s.
CF: How would you describe your personal style?
GG: I would describe my style as “almost trendy.” I like to keep up with seasonal trends but I usually keep comfort as a top priority.
CF: What are your fall essentials?
GG: My fall essentials are boots, leggings, long-sleeved shirts and jean vests. I’m usually wearing a comfy infinity scarf.
CF: What city do you think has the best style and why?
GG: I would definitely say New York City. I feel that the city really has everything under the sun.
How To: For a similar look like this Fashionista’s, try rocking an overall dress with a baseball T-shirt. This outfit is a ’90s throwback that will get you reminicising about your childhood. Add a bit of edge to this look with leather ankle booties.
Love it all…I want to go back to college..Keep them coming..
