The weather on Indiana University’s campus makes you want to bundle up in bed all day, but finals are just around the corner! As you’re getting ready for your day to ace those exams, all you can think of is the chilly weather outside. It can be hard to find the best pieces to combat the cold. But never fear, this Fashionista shows us how you can stay warm but look fashionable at the same time so you can ace your exams in style.

Name: Hannah Hunt

Major: Public Affairs

Year: Second Year Masters

CollegeFashionista: Where did you get each piece of your outfit?

Hannah Hunt: I got my coat and bag from Forever 21. My hat is from Urban Attic which is a store located in Louisville. My pants are from H&M.

CF: What was your inspiration for your outfit today?

HH: My inspiration is utility wear, especially since it’s so cold on campus. I have a few things in my closet that I use for a number of outfits. I try to get the most out of my closet. I also like looking on Etsy to find cool products to include in my outfits.

CF: Who do you look to for style inspiration?

HH: My sister, she always has a unique style and doesn’t follow the trends. She does it in a way that looks amazing and expresses her own individualism. I also look to the Sartorialist which is a website with a ton of street fashion. I like to see how people put their own creativity in their outfits.

CF: What are some of your favorite trends on campus?

HH: I like all the hats. I also like boots that lace up.

CF: What stores do you shop at?

HH: I love shopping at Forever 21 and H&M.

CF: What advice do you have for the readers?

HH: Look for your own personal inspiration and don’t try to follow all the trends.

How To: To pull off this perfect look for those cold winter days, start off with a knitted hat, a fashionable coat and a pair of pants. Pair this outfit with some boots and a shoulder bag. If you want to add some more flair to your outfit try going with a coat with some fur lining to keep warm and fashionable!
