The hounds are unleashed! The classic houndstooth print has always been the epitome of sophistication in terms of formal wear, but lately we’ve been seeing an edgier interpretation of the black and white checkered pattern. Salvatore Ferragamo fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection took a sexy spin on houndstooth with plunging necklines, halter tops, pencil skirts with a slit and mixing it with animal prints. The trend graced the FLASH section of November's Vogue and was spotted on Lady Gaga from head to toe, literally. This Fashionista wore the houndstooth print in a more understated way than Mother Monster, but still amped up the glamour with a black faux fur vest.
