Interning at Tory Burch for the past two summers has expanded my color palatte beyond black, grey and white. I now gravitate and incorporate brighter hues into my ensembles such as orange, hot pink and kelly green. However, every once in a while I revert back to my muted ensembles. This week's Fashionista reminded me of my old self as I passed her on F Street. Her play on muted tones worked so well due to her range of color and texture. Her crème silk button-down blouse played well against her hard, olive army jacket and her ripped, faded sand cords. This Fashionista's grey leather bag and brown leather boots added the finishing touch making this, the perfect fall outfit.
Name: Ali Udelson
CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your style?
Ali Udelson: I really like a cleaned up and classier version of a grunge look. It's really fun to mix pieces like ripped jeans or combat boots with something girly like a chiffon blouse. I also love anything from my mother's closet, you can never go wrong with vintage.
CF: What is you favorite trend of the moment?
AU: I think horn rimmed tortuoise shell reading glasses are fabulous. I don't even need glasses for reading, but I have a pair anyway!
CF: If you could raid anyone's closet, would who it be?
AU: Definitely Alexa Chung. She does such a good job putting a twist on male trends like tasseled loafers or trousers.
