All eyes have been on Kate Middleton’s fashionably classic style ever since the announcement of her engagement to Prince William. Although she has become a world renown fashion icon, her downtime style is a simplistic preppy look with just a slight edge (it typically includes a pair of sleek dark denim, a feminine top, and a sharply tailored jacket). But to create a more fanciful feel, Kate embellishes her otherwise simplistic look with her exuberant accessories. Princess Kate has inspired Fashionistas around the world to walk the line between timeless and trendy and this Fashionista flawlessly exhibits the lady-like beauty of this look. This Fashionista complements her classic mix of navy, beige, and white shades with pops of color and accessories to finish her impeccably replicated, Middleton-inspired style.

College Fashionista: What do you think your style exemplifies?

Andrea DelGaudio: I feel like my style is casual yet classic. I don’t go crazy with season trends, because I feel comfortable sticking to my simplistic style. I love being comfortable, so you can always find me in either skinny jeans or leggings paired with one of my flowy cotton shirts. For my basic everyday look, I love J Brand jeans and Free People tops.

CF: What is your favorite piece of clothing or accessory?

AD: I always have a mix of gold and silver bracelets and watches on my wrist, so I would say they’re my go-to accessory. My mini evil eye bracelet is such a unique piece- it’s so delicate. It was given to me as a gift and I’ve never seen anyone with anything like it before. I also love my big, gold Michael Kors watch, because it stands out as a statement accessory among my more delicate bracelets.

CF: Who is your favorite designer?

AD: Kate Spade because I think she has a very classic look. I love her for her little cross body bags and her wallets. My favorite Kate Spade accessory that I own is my red, patent leather wallet (I basically use it as my purse because I love it so much). It really adds a pop of color, which is especially perfect for this spring season’s color blocking trend.

How To: Before Kate Middleton married Price William, she worked as an accessories buyer for the European fashion chain Jigsaw.
