I spotted this California native right as she was about to drop off her extremely impressive interior design final project (which she let me take a peek of). As finals come to an end and as the holidays go into full gear, a change in wardrobe, perhaps is necessary. Holidays and the winter are all about being warm and cozy. I like to think of sitting by a fire in an oversized sweater with a wool or cashmere blanket wrapped around me. We become more casual through the month of December until New Years Eve hits when we revamp our metalics, sequins and red lipstick. This Fashionista evoked such simplicity and minimalism — two things that will always be in vogue.

Name: Ashley Navid

CollegeFashionista: How have you managed to stay chic amidst finals week?

Ashley Navid: During finals week i usually just throw on an oversized sweater and jeans, which is perfect for feeling comfortable in the library while studying.

CF: What is your holiday staple?

AN: My holiday staple are definitely black tights. Tights are so versatile because they can be dressed up or worn casually. They're also great because they are able to keep me warm during the winter season.

CF: What is your favorite gift to give?

AN: My favorite gift to give during the winter season are scarves because they can accessorize any outfit and keep you warm at the same time!

How To: Pair an oversized sweater with leggings and boots. Add a satchel to pull the look together and to remain handsfree.
