A flared, girly dress will always be in style. The verstaile piece works for class, brunch with friends and casual dates. Anyone can wear a flowy dress, but it takes someone to make it pop. This Fashionista's porcelain skin, aqua blue eyes and radiant smile are the quintessential components to polish the look, but it's her effortless confidence that brings it to life. I later discovered that she is against the big beauty corporations, but this Fashionista definitely portrays “Easy, breezy, beautiful – COVERGIRL.”

CollegeFashionista: Tell me a little bit about what you’re wearing.
DW: I borrowed this necklace, the rings were my grandmother’s, the dress and bracelet from Forever 21, the bag is vintage from a thrift store and the shoes are Traffic.
CF: I see you’re wearing polka dots. Is that one of your favorite patterns to wear?
DW: I like mostly flowers, but they didn’t have this in floral. I like colorful stuff. Colorful colors; nothing boring. I use blue as a backdrop a lot.
CF: Where do you get your fashion inspiration? Do you read fashion blogs or magazines? What about models or celebrities you like?
DW: I think all of that is overrated. The beauty industry is overrated. There are too high standards for females, so I boycott them. I go to thrift stores and kind of make it up as I go along. I buy things I like and alter them.
CF: What’s your favorite season for dressing up?
DW: I like the fall. It’s not too hot and not too cold. You can kind of wear whatever you want, and you can pull off stockings.
CF: If there’s one fashion capital you could go to, where would it be?
DW: I’ve been to Italy, but I haven’t been to Milan. The shoes there are amazing. My favorite designer is Christian Louboutin, but I’m against leather, so I usually get knockoffs.
How to: This flirty look of soft nudes and pinks is relatively easy to put together. First, find a fun dress with polka dots. Forever 21 always has a great selection. For all your accessory needs, shopping in Mom's closet or the local Salvation Army will suffice. One man's donated clothes is another Fashionista's treasures, I always say. For great ankle boots that will pull together any ensemle, try looking at Zappos for any pair you like, ranging from Minnetonka to cool oxford styles. The site has free shipping both ways, so you can order any size or style without worrying about the costs. Happy shopping!
