This week's Fashionista transitions her summer sundress into an autumn ensemble to create a girly go-to look for any occasion. Heating up a summer staple, sophomore Emily Osman layers a classic denim button-down over a polka-dot dress and caramel colored skinny belt. Paired with patent black ballet flats and candy red nail polish, this Fashionista's ensemble easily transforms wardrobe staples into fall favorites.
Name: Emily Osman
CollegeFashionista: To whom do you typically look for ensemble inspiration?
Emily Osman: My friends Christina and Diane are always fashionable, so I'm always inspired by what they do.
CF: If you had to whittle down your wardrobe to five items what would they be?
EO: Zara leggings, black boots, spandex shorts, a black dress and a chiffon J.Crew shirt.
CF: Are there any trends you'd like to try out this season?
EO: I'm trying to embrace neon colors even though it's fall. I'm usually all about the darker colors, but I'm trying to add little bits of bright colors here and there.
CF: How would you describe your style in one word?
CF: What is your favorite season to dress for and why?
EO: I would say fall because you can get the most versatility out of the season in terms of mixing and matching.
How To: Get this Fashionista's look by transitioning your summer sundress with a printed cardigan or denim shirt. Accentuate your silhouette by cinching the look with a neon belt. To make the transition from desk to dusk, ditch the denim shirt and opt for an edgy leather jacket and statement jewelry, or pair with sheer black stockings and bold ankle boots for a daring look for after dark.
