Even though the military trend rocked the runways well over a year ago, that does not mean it ever went out of style. The utililtarian-chic look is still one of my favorite trends to date. Don’t even get me started on olive green – seriously one of the chicest colors (and it looks good on almost anyone.)  This Fashionista struck me due to her play on edgy verses feminine attire. Her army green cargo skinnies juxtapose her crème colored silk button down, classic Chanel ballerina flats and Foley and Corinna bag, adding back some additional edge thanks to her hard, black leather bag.  There was something about this Fashionista’s worn in Chanel flats that evoked a timeless yet vintage nature which paired well against the polished tank that veered away from being too matchy-matchy.

CollegeFashionista: How do you take a look from day to night?

Hannah Gilfenbain: I personally love wearing heels at night, so to switch up my outfit I would throw on my favorite Dolce Vita pumps. I would also change my purse. My favorite purse to wear on a night out is my Rebecca Minkoff black three zip cross-body purse because it goes with almost everything I wear.

CF: What’s your favorite thing about fall fashion?

HG: Boots! I just purchased an amazing pair and I cannot wait to wear them.

CF: If you could collaboriate on a collection with any designer would who it be?

HG: If I had the oppurtunity, I would, hands down, collaborate with Millau which is exclusively sold at LF. My whole wardrobe is MilauThat would be an amazing oppurtunity!

How To: Pair tough army inspired jeans with a loose feminine silk top and chic flats to achieve the unexpected like this week's Fashionista.
