I spotted this ultra chic Fashionista in the vintage-meets-modern Meatpacking District between the trendy eatery Pastis and Gansevoort Hotel which is famous for its rooftop pool. This Fashionista was in full summer mode head-to-toe. Sporting a white lightweight blouse with soft coral jeans, paired with a colorful silk scarf, camel colored sandals, a structured yet simple black bag and sunglasses, this Fashionista combined all elements of true summer style. This fresh and minimalistic look is super easy to achieve and can take you from an internship to dinner or even the beach. It’s hard to go wrong with a clean and sophisticated silhouette like this; you’re bound to always look great!

CollegeFashionista: What decade best represents your style?

Hind Albasti: Probably the ‘60s…the ‘80s. I would say anywhere from the ‘60s to the ‘80s, especially at night.

CF: Who are some of your favorite designers?

HA: Some of my favorite designers are Chanel, Elie Tahari, Alexander McQueen, and Alexander Wang.

CF: Who do you consider to be style icons?

HA: I would say Jackie O. and Audrey Hepburn are style icons. They inspire a lot of my style.

How To: Pair colored jeans (J. Brand just launched a line of colored denim for summer!) with a simple silk top (white is probably the most versatile). Throw on a colorful scarf, some neutral sandals and sunglasses, and you'll be just as ready for summer as this Fashionista!
