I’m usually not one to be too daring with fashion although I enjoy trying out different trends, usually in a more subtle way. I have to admit though, I am absolutely loving the metallic/glitter/sequin/anything sparkly trend this season! Especially as the holidays are approaching, adding a little dazzle may just any Fashionista just what she needs! I immediately adored this Fashionista’s H&M sweater with the glitter stitching and the cute zipper in the back. Unfortunately, H&M does not yet have an e-commerce site available for the United States (yes, we have to wait until next fall!). Until then, many designers and stores have taken the hint of any sparkly this season between sweaters, statement jewelry, and glittery shoes!

Katie Betken: I’m wearing jeans, rain boots and a sweater that I just got from H&M! I love the glittery stitching.
CF: What’s your favorite store to shop at and why?
KB: My favorite store is H&M because they have such a variety of clothes at steal prices. So many of my favorite items are from H&M, both basics and unique pieces that I find myself wearing all the time!
CF: What’s your favorite trend this season?
KB: The boyfriend blazer is probably my favorite trend this season. It’s so easy to pair it with a plain tee shirt and jeans or even a dress to go out.
How To: Fashionistas can add their sparkle anywhere from head to toe! Designers like Jeffrey Campbell have added glitter to their creations. Urban Outfitters also has a great selection of glitter wedges and pumps for those looking for sparkle. For a metallic looking top like this Fashionista’s, Zara has sweaters and blouses with metallic stitching. The perfect holiday dress or skirt can be glittery as well! Nordstrom has a great beaded mini dress and Akira has a fabulous rainbow skirt that I’m just dying to get my hands on!
