Fall collections by Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton and Céline have proven that women’s fashion is greatly inspired by men’s fashion. A wide display of trousers, blazers, button-downs and neckties have become staple items for any Fashionista’s wardrobe. Paired with tank, this Fashionista shows off her blazer for a more polished look. Aside from her fabulous blazer, I couldn’t help but notice this Fashionista’s geometric patterned tank top in neutral colors. Geometric shapes on clothes and even accessories are a rising trend that I’m loving in all forms!

CollegeFashionista: Tell me about your outfit today.
Kaycie Kotas: I’m wearing a tan blazer, a tank top, and some skinny jeans. I really like blazers because they really make an outfit and they’re great in place of a sweatshirt. I got this one from Nordstrom and I have a couple others too.
CF: What is your favorite store to shop at?
KK: My favorite store is definitely Nordstrom, especially B.P. There are such a variety of clothes, accessories and shoes all in one place. They always have the newest items and trends so I shop there all the time.
CF: What are some upcoming trends that you’re looking forward to this coming season?
KK: I like the colored denim trend. It’s something so unexpected and fun, yet imperative to execute correctly. I think it’s definitely something I’m going to have to try!
How To: Look for a bold geometric printed item- it could be a blouse, skirt, dress or a necklace. Don’t shy away from bright colors and large patterns! Pair this with a blazer in any color of your choice. Many fall look-books, like Zara’s, are featuring different cuts, colors, materials and even metallic or sequin blazers. Wearing a blazer can instantly make an outfit more professional and sophisticated. If that isn’t exactly the look a Fashionista is going for, destroyed boyfriend jeans and a simple tee under a blazer are perfect for something more casual.
