This week's Fashionista makes desk wear look daring with her bright-on-bright belt and dress combo. Junior Krissy Buongiorno likes to portray her outgoing and bubbly personality with colors and accessories that are equally as vibrant.
This week, she pairs the perfect hue of purple with a neon yellow patent leather belt to provide just the right amount of color without being too bold for the office. Her lace-detailed dress paired with classic leather loafers finds the sweet spot between summer sweetness and proper professional.
Name: Krissy Buongiorno
Major: Business Administration and Sociology
CollegeFashionista: What is your favorite part of dressing for summer?
Krissy Bongiorno: Since it's warmer, I always dress much more simply because I don't have to worry about layers and staying warm. I can just sort of have free reign with throwing on something comfortable and fun.
CF: How would you describe your style in three words?
KB: Tall, cheap and fun.
CF: If you had to whittle down your wardrobe to five items what would they be?
KB: This off-the-shoulder floral dress I just got, a pair of yoga pants, my fur jacket, my robe, and probably my down winter coat.
CF: How has your style evolved since you made the move from California to New York?
KB: Well I now wear winter jackets and scarves, and I'm definitely a lot bolder in my choices because I know that no matter what I'm wearing, there's going to be someone that looks ten times crazier than I do.
CF: What's the biggest fashion faux pas you've committed?
KB: I was wearing a skirt and tights and I managed to tuck my skirt into my tights twice in one night.
