This week's Fashionista makes a rainy day look darling with this school chic ensemble. Reminiscent of the pages of Hayashida's Take Ivy, this Fashionista's organic-meets-academic look is perhaps the ultimate image of campus streetstyle: comfortable, practical, yet subtly innovative.
Sophomore Lauren Teske pairs her mother's vintage cardigan with high-waisted denim and ladylike oxford shoes. Her not-so-typical striped tee provides a touch of texture with twisted seams while her merlot colored cross-body bag plays up her blush pink cardigan and coordinating shoes.
Name: Lauren Teske
CollegeFashionista: If you had to whittle down your wardrobe to five items, what would they be?
Lauren Teske: High-waisted blue jeans, these shoes, an old cardigan (this one used to be my mom's), an infinity scarf and definitely a cross-body bag.
CF: What is your favorite season to dress for and why?
LT: Definitely fall, because of all the boots and scarves.
CF: Are there any trends you're looking forward to wearing this season?
LT: I'm excited to wear my military peplum coat. I've been waiting for it to get cold just so I can finally wear it.
CF: Where do you typically look to for style inspiration?
LT: Pretty much the classic places, I guess. I'm online shopping with my roommates all the time, so we look at NASTY GAL, Urban Outfitters, the basics.
