This week’s Fashionista was found in the library during finals week, but she wasn’t wearing the classic yoga pants and T-shirt combination that most of the girls around her were. Instead, she pulled a cute look together for the exam-filled dreary day. Her look includes the ubiquitous oversized and knitted beige sweater shirt from Urban Outfitters over a white T-shirt. This, paired with lululemon leggings and TOMS, is a look that has been seen on practically every girl at Boston College this semester. Additionally, she incorporated the season’s trend of bright color, specifically coral, in her scarf. Finally, to step outside in the unseasonably chilly temperatures she pulled off a cute black coat.

Major: Human Development

CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your personal style?
Leisa Zimbrick: I would like to think my style is comfy yet chic and put together.
CF: Who are your fashion influences?
LZ: I definitely think my mom has a big influence on my style. She always stresses the importance of buying a few nice, functional staple pieces of clothing as opposed to buying lots of cheap, one-season wears. I'd also credit my best friend Grace Miller as one of my style influences. She is very into reading fashion magazines, blogs etc., so she always knows and shares with me what the latest trends are.
CF: What are your favorite current trends?
LZ: It is a tie between the looser-fitting tops and all the neon. I love to wear bright colors, so I really like all the pink, orange and turquoise this spring.
CF: What is a staple in your wardrobe?
LZ: lululemon black leggings. They can be dressed up or down and worn with just about anything.
CF: Where are you favorite places to buy clothes?
LZ: When I'm home in Madison, WI I usually shop at Bop, or drive down to Chicago to shop at Nordstrom, Zara and Saks. Out in Boston, I like going to lululemon, as well as Zara.
How To: Get this Fashionista’s look by wearing an oversized, knitted beige top with leggings. Add TOMS to the look and a splash of color with a coral scarf.
