Frosty temperatures mean dusting off down coats and packing away the sheer layers until next year. But dressing warmly doesn’t always have to mean looking frumpy. This Fashionista styled sleek, modern pieces to keep warm without weighing her down. Knee-high boots elongate the legs while providing extra warmth to the calves, while a long coat slims the figure while insulating more of the body. A bright red lip adds a touch of classic glamour to the overall look and ties it together seamlessly.

CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing?
Lenora Asanova: My coat is from Zara as are the leggings. The boots are by Steve Madden.
CF: What are your must-have fall and winter fashion pieces?
LA: I love knee-high boots for the colder weather. I prefer a flat or low heel because they are comfortable to walk in while looking a bit more fancy or dressy than a plain shoe. Skinny jeans and leggings are another must-have for me.
CF: What are your favorite fashion brands?
LA: I like to shop at GUESS, Armani Exchange, bebe and Zara. Their clothes fit me well and feel more suited for my body type.
CF: What are you coveting right now?
LA: I love this brand called GIZIA, which is well known in Turkey but the designer is from Roberto Cavalli. I have a few things from GIZIA, but would like to add a few more of their dresses to my wardrobe.
How To: A structured coat is the ultimate fashion necessity when facing the city chill. Look for a coat with a cinched waistline and detailed hardware if you have a more feminine style. This wool military coat from Zara should block the wind while looking chic. Instead of leggings, opt for jeggings from American Eagle, which will give a similar look and extra protection against the cold. Keep your legs warm in knee-high suede boots by Joie and you are ready for class!
