Comfy chic isn’t exactly a look used often on the runway, although it is definitely a relatable concept for a CollegeFashionista on campus. Putting on skinny jeans, a fitted blouse and full hair and makeup isn’t exactly appealing when waking up for an 8 a.m. class. This Fashionista is comfy chic in a cozy oversized sweater, leggings, a class white T-shirt and just a couple of accessories to dress it up. There is no longer a need for that old high school sweatshirt, no matter how early in the morning it is!

CollegeFashionista: Tell me about your outfit.
Morgan King: I’m wearing a knit cardigan and leggings. For shoes I’m wearing olive green ankle boots. I also have a white bag and my necklace is from H&M.
CF: What is your main inspiration for fashion?
MK: I turn to magazines like InStyle and Glamour for fashion inspiration. Both show celebrity style but also have more affordable options for college students.
CF: What is your favorite trend this season?
MK: My favorite trend is low ankle boots. I haven’t seen them often in previous years. It’s mostly been knee-high boots and such. I really like the versatility that comes with ankle boots because you can wear knit socks with them or tights.
How To: To begin dressing up a simple white T-shirt and black leggings, look for an open knit cardigan. Along with comfy knits, ankle boots are another staple item for this season. This Fashionista rocked a pair in olive green, but brown, beige or black would also look great! For accessories, try a statement necklace and a cute cross-body bag.
