It can be easy to pile on accessories and mix and match the latest trends, but recently my eye has been affixed on something more subtle. There is something special in the beauty of simplicity. This week’s Fashionista caught my eye because of her natural beauty and her ability to stay poised and graceful. It may be Novemeber, but the Savannah sun is as radiant as this week’s Fashionsita. Dawning a wardrobe of basics, she is dressed in Madewell and Gap paired with an H&M necklace and Marc by Marc Jacobs bag.
Name: Serafina LoGiacco
Major: Fashion Marketing and Management
Year: Junior
CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your style?
Serafina LoGiacco: Always a classic feminine look yet still casual and updated.
CF: Who is your favorite designer?
SL: Being a Fashion Marketing major, I love too many [desingers] but I'd have to say Burberry always does amazing with reinventing classics. I would also have to include Givenchy. From their couture to ready-to-wear, it's always gorgeous.
CF: What is the most prominent color in your wardrobe?
SL: I wear a lot of mid-tones, so deep reds, greens, yellows and neutrals, which I think all go best with my skin tone.
CF: What is your favorite store to shop at?
SL: Recently, I have been loving Madewell. It has the best fits and updated essentials!
How To: This Fashionista keeps it sweet and simple. To build a wardrobe of basics, you need to find what brands fit you best. Gap and J.Crew are always reliable for the essentials, but for a splurge, try these T by Alexander Wang tops or a tee by The Row. Knowing what basics are worth spending the extra money on is all about finding the right fit and a good quality.
