Name: Taylor Best
Major: Industrial Engineering
Year: Sophomore
CollegeFashionista: Tell me about your outfit.
Taylor Best: I’m wearing skinny blue jeans from American Eagle, Caressa riding boots, a pink oxford button-up from Polo Ralph Lauren, my mother’s pearl earrings and my bag is from Vera Bradley.
CF: Who do you look to for fashion inspiration?
TB: Definitely the women I grew up with. I grew up in the Boston area and the style there is very classic and preppy.
CF: What are your favorite stores to shop at?
TB: J.Crew, Ralph Lauren, and Brooks Brothers.
CF: What is your favorite fall clothing item?
TB: I would have to say these new riding boots. They were my back-to-school splurge for myself because I knew I would be wearing them almost everyday.
How To: The preppy style derives from a few classic pieces paired together. For the fall a Fashionista should start with a muted color button-up with a pair of dark skinny jeans and pull the classic look together with leather riding boots. Topping this look off with a tote bag brings it together for going to class.
