New York City seems to have skipped fall completely. As the weather chills up, people tend to put anything warm they have on. It doesn’t matter if it looks right just as long as they’re comfortable. This Fashionista stood out because she seemed original and because amidst the neutral shades, she brought a pop of color.

Turiya Madireddi: My dress is from Topshop, my shoes as well as my jacket are from Thrift Town and my socks are from Uniqlo.

CF: How would you describe your personal style?

TM: I look different every day. People say that I look like I’m from the ‘50s, ‘80s or ‘90s. People think that I take forever to get ready but I literally wake up and grab whatever.

CF: Favorite trend for the fall?

TM: I don’t really follow trends so I wouldn’t know.

CF: What is your must-have item for the fall?

TM: You should always have a flannel but that’s year round. Everyone should have a long skirt for the fall.

CF: Favorite Style Icon?

TM: MIA and Azealia Banks.

CF: Favorite designer?

TM: Manish Arora.

CF: What global city do you consider to be the most fashionable? Why?

TM: London and Berlin. Berlin because everyone there is comfortable in their own skin and doesn’t try to stray from their personal style, in order to fit in.
