Simple goes a long way. It's important to not overlook the basics in your wardrobe! While I love when people take risks with their clothing, it's not necessary to go all out every day. Sometimes wearing a clean cut outfit is all you need to look your best. This Fashionisto is the epitome of easy fashion, wearing a plaid shirt layered with a wool sweater. My favorite part of this look is the way he chose to dress the outfit down with his double tongue Chuck Taylor All Star lace-ups. I'm also a huge fan of the slicked back hair. Very classy.

CollegeFashionista: How do you choose your outfits?

Chris Weiseman: Being originally from the Northeast, I have to deal with a lot of cold weather. Because of this, I tend to choose a lot of outfits that layer things like button-ups and sweaters. My key word for what I try to aim for in my outfits and style is dapper, while still keeping that urban edge that a city kid should have.

CF: What inspires your sense of style?

CW: I look a lot to movies that inspire a certain retro feeling in them, as I really appreciate the classics of style that will always look good. You can never go wrong with a nice looking peacoat or shirt and tie. And as long as you have the confidence to pull it off, you can make anything work. I also like to draw ideas from different music scenes, such as rockabilly.

CF: Where are your favorite places to buy college-friendly fashion?

CW: I possess a ridiculously limited budget, so I tend to look a lot at places like Target for really cheap and nice V-necks or sweaters, while H&M is also really nice for stylish and classic stuff that's not going to break the bank. I also like Karmaloop for a street wear infusion, as they have an awesome selection and sick sales often.

How To: This is not a hard look to accomplish! Find a simple plaid shirt and a wool sweater for the wind. Chris is also wearing a nice long black peacoat. Finish it off with a pair of high-top Converse, which I am convinced will never go out of style.
