As the spring semester comes to an end, campuses are emptying out and students are off to their home cities. Some of us stay behind and some of us venture off to different places around the country for jobs and internships. In fact, I find myself in New York at the moment, strolling around, admiring all the city folk and their wonderful fashion sense. I found this Fashionisto near Lincoln Center looking fabulous and ready for a walk through midtown. Take a page from his style book to create a great summer look!
Name: Jorge Bello
CollegeFashionista: What inspires your style?
Jorge Bello: French cinema. I like a classic look with a modern twist.
CF: What is your favorite piece in your wardrobe?
JB: My Italian suede jacket that I bought in Florence. You can wear it with anything and it's unique, it's not commercial. It was a great find!
CF: What music have you been listening to lately?
JB: I've been listening to Au Revoir Simone a lot.
CF: What advice do you have for budding Fashionistos?
JB: Wear flattering clothes, know your body. Honestly.
How To: This Fashionisto's look is clean and dressed up without trying too hard. Start with a simple pink button-down shirt like this one from Ralph Lauren. Layer with a nice sweater and a pair of jeans. This Fashionisto wore a pair of black sneakers similar to this Prada pair but you can also finish this outfit up with a pair of Cole Haan loafers. Don't forget to wear a pair of protective eyewear for the sun!
