Name: Patrick Fitzgerald

Year: Senior

Major: Philosophy

CollegeFashionista: If you had to whittle down your wardrobe to five items, what would they be?

Patrick Fitzgerald: If I had to whittle my wardrobe down to five items, it would probably consist of a super soft pair of jeans, a pair of board shorts, a comfy knit sweater, a plain white tee and some flip flops.

CF: What is your favorite season to dress for and why?

PF: My favorite season is summer because I feel that it lends itself to the greatest degree of wardrobe flexibility. Summer affords people the opportunity to be creative in their dress. After all, there are only so many ways you can wear a down parka.

CF: Where do you typically look for style inspiration?

PF: I cannot say that I look for inspiration per se. Rather, I merely strive to remain conscious of my environment. I take note of styles and outfits that I find appealing and make an effort to implement aspects of those outfits in my own dress.

CF: Are there any trends you're looking forward to wearing this season?

PF: I don't really have an affinity for trends. I just base my outfits on comfort. For instance, if I find a pair of really comfy trousers, I will construct the rest of the outfit around those trousers.

How To: Get this Fashionisto's look by pairing colored denim in autumn-inspired hues with a basic button-down. Add a classic plaid skinny tie for more formal occasions, or pair the statement pants with laid back loafers for an every day look.
