LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS: Fall into Autumn Fashion

Temperatures may be dropping, but fashion in DC is heating up! Fashionistos across the district are taking advantage of the cooler climate and debuting some of their favorite fall staples.  Time to button up those blazers, bring out the boots, and scope out the streets of Foggy Bottom for some stylish students. Autumn days are here to stay!

I spotted this dashing Fashionisto walking home to his townhouse behind the GW metro stop. Seeing his earth toned ensemble summed up the feeling of the breezy day perfectly. He keeps his outfit classroom-chic with his Ralph Lauren pinstriped button-down shirt and dark wash raw APC jeans.  Take note of how he cuffed the bottom of his jeans. This small detail keeps his outfit fashion forward, and accents his classic Church wing-tip oxfords. His olive green Façonnable sweater shows off his dark features and highlights his unique paisley printed, Hermes tie. He tops off his dapper fall ensemble with one final layer, his statement-worthy hounds tooth Giorgio Armani blazer. The beige and brown color pattern complements the purple, green and pastel blue in is wardrobe. It stands out in a way that is neither subtle nor obnoxious; it is the ultimate fall staple. He accents his trendy duds with his Cartier tank watch, Tiffany ID bracelet, custom signet ring and vintage Persol shades.

Want to reproduce this Fashionisto’s debonair early fall look without breaking the bank with expensive designer prices? Thankfully there are plenty of places to shop this look, leaving you trendy dudes looking like a million bucks! Rugby has a great houndstooth coat that they just debuted for fall. Brooks Brothers has many variations of the timeless paisley print tie. You can’t go wrong with any of J.Crew’s fun colored cashmere v-necks, all of which can be worn through the fall and winter seasons. Zappos.com carries a boatload of men’s’ oxfords in a variety of price points, colors and styles. Men’s’ signet jewelry can be found in a plethora of styles at Tiffany and other various jewelery sites.
