Fashionistas have been spotted keeping cozy in shearling for some time now. While most commonly associated with boots such as Uggs, this lambskin pelt has been transitioning from footwear to fashion in the recent seasons. Designers such as Derek Lam have adorned coats with this fluffy fabric to transform a basic jacket into Switzerland haute couture.
This Fashionisto took a cue from the ladies by bringing in some shearling into his wardrobe. I am all about a surprise detail in a garment. Zipped up, this Fashionisto's coat would be stellar. Its muted brown/grey color is masculine while still being unconventional. However, when left open as this Fashionisto did, the shearling lining makes me love this coat even more. The shearling is not only super warm, but is also right on trend with the movement of the moment. Baaaah-utiful. (Sorry, couldn't resist a lamb pun.)
While we are already half way through winter (yay), it may be too late to consider investing in a shearling coat. Opt instead for some shearling accessories to echo the same feel as this Fashionisto's look.
