A month has passed since I arrived to New York City and it feels like yesterday. You realize too late that time goes by so fast and you either enjoyed every moment or you feel like you didn’t take enough advantage of it. The good thing is that time goes by even faster when you are doing what you love, and in my case that is working in a fast-paced stylish environment where the learning experience makes it all worth it.
Every day the street style among the concrete jungle crowd takes me off guard when I see the unexpected use of an accessory that changes the whole definition of a trend… for the better!
Today’s Fashionista is wearing a NASTY GAL white off-the-shoulder blouse, ripped denim shorts from Zara, Theyskens’ Theory ankle leather booties and a Céline bag. She just knew how to work the perfect combination of white, denim and leather for a summer morning.
Try wearing ripped denim shorts like these from PacSun and go for a lighter color. Mix it with this off-the-shoulder blouse from Ralph Lauren, Theyskens’ Theory booties and a breath-taking Céline bag trapeze in multicolor. A pop of color won’t hurt anybody, but if you stay with the white, light denim and black leather you’ll be ready to go.
There is nothing more urban than black leather which makes it a must have in your feet. In a walking city like Manhattan you have to take care of your feet so shoes are always a good investment and leather booties are an everyday practical accessory.
