STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: A Different Kind Of Ombré

Ombré; A word that is now synonymous with the fashion world.

In case you are unaware, ombré hair has evolved into one of the most popular beauty trends the fashion world has seen in years — and it has been seen on all of the most fashionable Fashionistas. From Rachel Bilson and Alexa Chung to Lauren Conrad and me (just thought I’d throw it out there), no doubt if you’re a Fashionista you’ve considered the trend.

But if you are not willing to take the plunge — hair wise I mean — then I am here to tell you about ombré clothes. Yes, they exist. And duh, they are just as good as the hair.

I spotted this Fashionista on one of the brightest spring days we’ve had in a while, and I knew I just had to snap her picture and share. I immediately took notice to her gorgeous ombré heather gray and white cotton blazer. Lucky purchase if you ask me because I’ve yet to see another like it. She kept her look rather monochromatic, pairing her not so average blazer with a heather gray bodycon dress. She completed the look with black military heeled boots and jewelry adorned wrists and fingers.

If you want to try your hand at ombré clothing here are a few of my favorite pieces. The Moto Ombré Jamie Jeans from Topshop would be a great piece to add to your spring/summer wardrobe. Pair these ombré jeans with a white pocket T-shirt, black wedge espadrilles and a wrist full of bracelets. The hot pink Dip Dye Stripe Tank from Topshop has a sporty feel to it with its stripes and cut-off sleeves. Tuck the ombré tank into a pleated black faux leather skirt and a pair of simple black sandals. And finally, the Strappy Ombré Maxi Dress from Miss Selfridge is the perfect summer dress with its shades of black, midnight blue, tan and white. Wear it to a nighttime summer party with black sandals and a statement necklace.

Whether it is with your hair or your clothes, I say embrace the ombré in any fashionable way you can!
