One of my favourite fashion pursuits is vintage. The idea of getting an extra special one off that's been loved before is almost magical. It is unfortunately, something that you often pay a high price for, and falling in love with with such a cherished piece can often put a big dent into a student budget. The Affordable Vintage Fair, however, is the answer. Organized by a national unit, they arrive on a selection of UK campuses on a bi-monthly basis, spreading reasonably priced, gorgeous vintage clothing and accessories. The website is regularly updated, and you can keep an eye out for events near you. Browse for that perfect vintage accessory, snack on teacakes at the 1950's style pop up cake stall or simply be inspired by the amazing outfits of the Fashionistas and Fashionistos in attendance. See below for some of the best dressed at yesterday's Newcastle fair.
Hint: Feeling thrifty? The company who brought affordable vintage to the masses is about to go above and beyond to really deliver those bargains straight to your campus – The Vintage Clothing Kilo Sale. On the 7Th March, for just one day, you can buy your vintage by the kilo! It could be four summer dresses, it could be one pair of trousers, one t-shirt and one jumper – it's completely up to you. Its a Newcastle one-day exclusive, but the fair is also calling at a variety of other Universities across the UK. Roll up, roll up, for the ultimate vintage on a student budget day out!
Style On,
